Job Description: As the WMFG Campaign Assistant Director, you’ll be an integral part of our campaign leadership, helping to coordinate and execute strategic initiatives that align with Willie Morris’s vision for a more inclusive Arkansas. With your energy, enthusiasm, and commitment to social justice, you’ll help us build a movement that empowers all Arkansans.
Responsibilities:
- Campaign Strategy Implementation: Assist the Associate Director in translating the overall campaign strategy into actionable plans and initiatives.
- Departmental Support: Provide support and guidance to department directors, helping them execute their respective responsibilities and achieve their goals.
- Project Coordination: Coordinate specific campaign projects or activities, ensuring they are executed efficiently and effectively.
- Team Collaboration: Foster collaboration and communication among campaign departments, facilitating information sharing and synergy.
- Data Analysis: Assist in analyzing campaign data and metrics to track progress, identify trends, and inform decision-making.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with volunteers, donors, community leaders, and other stakeholders to build support for the campaign and mobilize resources.
- Event Planning: Support the coordination of campaign events, including logistics, outreach, and participant engagement.
- Volunteer Management: Assist in recruiting, training, and coordinating volunteers to support campaign activities and outreach efforts.
- Policy Advocacy: Support the Policy Director in researching, drafting, and promoting policy initiatives that align with Willie Morris’s platform.
- Communication Assistance: Assist the Director of Communications in crafting messaging, content creation, and social media outreach to amplify the campaign’s message.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Administration, or a related field from a reputable four-year public or private university.
- Previous experience in campaign work, political organizing, or advocacy, with at least 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality in all tasks and deliverables.
- Passion for social justice, community engagement, and making a positive impact in Arkansas.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
